Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Sr. UX Designer to join a growing software company located in Cary, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing UX assets – from low-fidelity to high-fidelity deliverables based on project needs. Advocate for and participate in design research and continue to actively develop UX design knowledge and skills. Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in customer research (interviews, site visits, prototyping, etc.).
- Partner with product and development teams to create and deliver successful products and services, using a customer-focused, iterative design process.
- Ideate and create future products and services.
- Utilize design thinking methods and tools to design and validate solutions to real customer problems.
- Create high quality deliverables and execute based on UX goals and priorities without prescriptive guidance or direction.
- Thrive in a work environment requires strong problem-solving skills and self-direction.
- Should have demonstrated success with team collaboration and effective communication.
- Should have a passion for understanding the needs and behaviors of our customers and our business and a talent for addressing those needs through design.
- Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work independently and jointly in unstructured environments in a self-directed way.
- Ability to take a leadership role on projects and with customers
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in technical messaging formats.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or master’s degree in the study of design including; Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors, Psychology or equivalent project/portfolio experience.
- Customer-focused with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights.
- Thorough understanding of UX methodologies.
- Effectively manages UX responsibilities against defined milestones and plans with little day-to-day oversight.
- Demonstrable fluency with Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator or other design tools.
- Ability to rapidly prototype designs.
- Experience in applying user experience design principles to data and information visualization.
- Expert skills on Information Architecture, Interaction Design, UI workflows and UI wireframes on multi-platforms.
- Experience in front end development is a strong plus.
