Accentuate Staffing is seeking a Sales Support Specialist for a client in Durham, NC.  The Sales Support Representative will play a key component in the success of the Sales Department in building and maintaining a strong relationship with internal/ external stakeholders, clients, and prospective clients.  Assisting and supporting the sales team by responding to customer inquiries, processing orders, managing accounts, and maintaining sales-related databases. The candidate in this role will also be providing data and guidance to the sales team, managing sales tracking tools, and analyzing sales trends as well as liaise with brand managers, stay updated on product launches, and suggest sales process improvements. Candidates must live in the Raleigh-Durham area.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between the sales team, customers, marketing, and logistics to ensure effective communication and coordination of sales activities.
  • Provide data, sales reporting, and guidance to the sales team, managing sales tracking tools, and analyze sales trends
  • Client and product presentations
  • Assist/ coordinate in marketing events in the distribution of product samples to the sales team, retailers,and any additional initiatives for the event.
  • Major account/store audits
  • Outbound contact projects
  • Partner with the outside Rep sales team to ensure seamless customer experiences and to share insights from customer interactions.
  • Perform all assigned sales support tasks, including, but not limited to:
    • Pre-ticketing / special orders (coordination/shipping)
    • New account creations (information capture/verification) within internal automated systems
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in CRM software
    • Support of all major accounts through product and market research
    • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions retail product sales and distribution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a minimum of four (4) years of sales/administrative support experience in an office environment
  • At least one year of prior sales & customer engagement (Full sales process)
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently based on “mission” type instructions/guidance
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with emphasis on Excel ( pivot tables, vlookup)
  • Ability to travel (occasional)
  • 2 years of sales/administrative support experience in an office environment
