Accentuate Staffing has an immediate hybrid Purchasing Coordinator opportunity for an established manufacturer in Fuquay Varina. This role is 6 months in duration with a possibility of an extension. The role would work onsite 2 days a week and remote the rest. The hours are Mon-Fri 8-5. The Purchasing Coordinator will provide support and assistance to the Procurement team for projects and tasks related to buying. This role is responsible for order processing, maintaining accurate records of transactions (such as Purchase Orders) and communicating with vendors to obtain product delivery dates, backorder information, and price quotes. The role also involves working directly with Procurement Team to facilitate ongoing projects and assist in meeting project milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Creating Purchase Orders
- Process order confirmations and communicate backorder information.
- Expedite orders to assist in maintaining service level targets.
- Obtain and process price quotes for RFQ activity.
- Assist in managing Procurement request tickets (ETA information, Sample requests, returns, etc.)
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or invoices as requested.
- Collaborate with Procurement Team as needed for project requests.
- Maintain Purchase Order system database relating to expected delivery date, cost, etc.
- Communicate with vendors regarding daily purchasing activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Procurement, or similar experience preferred.
- 3-5 years in Procurement based environment preferred.
- Fundamental Procurement capabilities as evidenced by certification (APICS, SPSM, CPIM) highly preferred but not required.
- Moderate to Advanced proficiencies in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of service level and inventory management concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills required.
- Knowledge of Supply chain concepts and Purchasing procedures
- Basic knowledge of A/P, A/R, and bookkeeping transactions
- Critical thinking skills required.
