Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established manufacturer in the Oxford area who is hiring a Machining Quality Engineer to join their team. This is a direct-hire opportunity working Monday-Thursday, 6am-4pm.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the quality of machined components by performing inspections and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Improve machining processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Investigate defects, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Keep accurate records of quality activities and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Analyze data using statistical methods to drive process improvements.
- Train team members on quality control methods and inspection processes.
- Design fixtures and operate advanced metrology equipment, such as Vision systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in quality engineering within a machining or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of CNC lathes, screw machines, and machining operations.
- Skilled in quality management systems, statistical analysis, and methodologies like Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and experience with SolidWorks or CAD (preferred).
- Knowledge of advanced metrology tools and vision systems (preferred).
