Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a leading educational assessment company on an exciting initiative to develop an Arabic language reading assessment tool. This innovative project will empower educators to personalize learning for Arabic speakers worldwide.
As the NLP Engineer, you’ll be a key player in building this groundbreaking technology. You’ll leverage your expertise in Arabic NLP and machine learning to design, train, and deploy models that accurately assess the complexity of Arabic text. Responsibilities:
- Developing and training machine learning models using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques.
- Stay current with advancements in machine learning by actively researching and interpreting relevant scientific and technical journals.
- Utilize agile development methodologies to ensure efficient project execution and continuous improvement.
- Processing and analyzing large datasets of Arabic text.
- Partner with a team of engineers and researchers to translate technical requirements into user-friendly specifications, fostering clear communication and collaboration to achieve the project’s objective of promoting Arabic language literacy.
- Building and maintaining production-quality code for the project.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a field like Applied Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or Data Science, with a focus on building and deploying machine learning models for text analysis.
- Fluency in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is a must.
- 2+ years of experience working on NLP or corpus linguistics projects.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with tools like Docker and AWS.
- A passion for educational technology and a desire to make a positive impact.
