Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a biotechnology company who is hiring for a Lab Technician specializing in Horticulture. This is an extended contract opportunity with potential for hire, working onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Execute research activities such as; data collection, applying treatments and destructive sampling.
- Perform general plant maintenance and cultivation (planting, watering, fertilizing, etc.)
- Assemble greenhouse equipment and carry out necessary maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Data entry; creating graphs/tables/spreadsheets, experimental reports and record keeping.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working with plant nutrition/soil science, preferably in a controlled environment.
- Bachelors degree related to Plant Biology, Agriculture, Crop Science and Horticulture.
- NC Pesticide Applicator license OR willingness to obtain within first months of hire.
- Familiarity with experimental design, statistics and scientific method.
