Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a HR Generalist for a manufacturing client in Johnston County. The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting employee relations, benefits, recruiting, and a variety of other human resources functions. This position will provide support in the planning, analyzing and execution of policies, procedures, and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and overseeing the implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Interpret and apply HR policies while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Provide coaching and support to supervisors and staff regarding HR-related issues and concerns.
- Assist in conducting investigations and facilitate timely resolutions.
- Manage and maintain HR databases, ensuring data accuracy and compiling HR reports.
- Stay updated on employment laws and HR-related legislation.
- Represent the organization in unemployment hearings and claims.
- Manage recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, and applicant evaluations.
- Develop and nurture relationships with universities and recruitment sources.
- Collaborate with the training team to develop and execute new employee orientation programs.
- Track applicants and compile statistical information on hiring and onboarding processes.
- Assist with payroll processing and related activities.
- Plan and execute employee engagement events and activities.
- Serve as an onsite contact for employee benefit inquiries, including open enrollment and new hire benefit orientation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of related HR experience.
- Professional Human Resources Certification a plus.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, COBRA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work on sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel (as needed).
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
