Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a HR Generalist for a manufacturing client in Johnston County. The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting employee relations, benefits, recruiting, and a variety of other human resources functions.  This position will provide support in the planning, analyzing and execution of policies, procedures, and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and overseeing the implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and apply HR policies while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Provide coaching and support to supervisors and staff regarding HR-related issues and concerns.
  • Assist in conducting investigations and facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Manage and maintain HR databases, ensuring data accuracy and compiling HR reports.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and HR-related legislation.
  • Represent the organization in unemployment hearings and claims.
  • Manage recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, and applicant evaluations.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with universities and recruitment sources.
  • Collaborate with the training team to develop and execute new employee orientation programs.
  • Track applicants and compile statistical information on hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related activities.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement events and activities.
  • Serve as an onsite contact for employee benefit inquiries, including open enrollment and new hire benefit orientation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of related HR experience.
  • Professional Human Resources Certification a plus.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, COBRA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work on sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel (as needed).
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
