HR Generalist

Accentuate Staffing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist with expertise in payroll processing to join a client of ours for a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration while also supporting various HR functions such as employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and onboarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Process semi-monthly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, tax information, and benefits deductions.
  • Support recruitment efforts by coordinating job postings, conducting initial screenings, and assisting with interviews as needed
  • Main point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Work with leadership to develop and implement employee development plans.
  • Manage leave of absence programs
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Facilitate training sessions on HR-related topics.

Requirements:

  • BS in Human Resources or related discipline
  •  3+ years of experience in payroll processing and generalist HR responsibilities.
  •  Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, or similar)
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of HR principles, policies, laws, and procedures, including EEOC guidelines, ADA, and FMLA
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Critical and strategic thinking skills
  • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
