Accentuate Staffing has an immediate hybrid contract-to-hire Financial Aid Coordinator for an established non-profit in Raleigh. This position offers a competitive benefit package, retirement, and PTO.

The Financial Aid Coordinator will provide customer service and technical support to school systems for the State Grants Portal.  Process state grant adjustments. Work with Program Manager to provide policy and procedural guidance to schools about state grants.

Responsibilities:

  • Process state grant adjustments and communicate with colleges about discrepancies
  • Provide technical assistance to colleges on the state grants portal
  • Troubleshoot any portal issues, including file upload errors
  • Provide policy and procedural guidance to colleges about state grant programs, consulting with the Program Manager as needed
  • Ensure that accurate and up-to-date written procedures and system documentation are organized and communicated effectively as needed
  • Create and present training sessions for colleges on state grant polices and use of the state grants portal
  • Assist the Grants and Program Manager in creating and providing reports as needed
  • Assist the Grants and Program Manager with requests for state grant program data
  • Produce end-of-year statistical reports for the state grant programs
  • Attend state financial aid conferences and other training as needed, with possible overnight travel
  • Facilitate annual maintenance of payment tables on state grants portal and updates to policy documents as needed
  • Work with the Grants and Program Manager to communicate policy changes, deadlines, and updates to colleges
  • Work with the Grants and Program Manager and software vendors on changes or updates to the state grant programs’ interfaces as needed
  • Support administration of scholarship programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years related experience; or two years of college and/or an Associate’s degree from an accredited institution and 4+ years related experience
  • Ability to prioritize work in a multi-task environment and establish priorities based on timelines and objectives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels, outside business partners, and schools.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills, including ability to write procedures, reports, and business correspondence.
  • Ability to present, train and to facilitate meetings and work groups
