Accentuate Staffing has partnered with an International Company with its US Corporate Headquarters located in Morrisville, NC to recruit for a Financial Reporting Accountant. This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering solid benefits and a Hybrid work schedule.
The Financial Reporting Accountant will be a member of the Corporate Accounting team reporting to the Corporate Controller. This position will be involved in the quarterly consolidation process by performing entity level and regional financial review and analysis, preparation of consolidated adjustments and disclosures, and assist in providing support for auditor review. This position will also serve as an accounting resource on US GAAP and SEC financial reporting and accounting matters, including the implementation of new US GAAP accounting guidance when applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information (journal entries, account reconciliations, account analyses, etc.)
- Perform entity level and regional financial review and analysis in conjunction with consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Prepare consolidated adjustments and disclosures as part of the quarterly and annual financial reporting to the SEC
- Interface with internal and external auditors
- Assist in the maintenance of accounting processes and systems
- Work on special financial projects, as needed
Requirements:
- Masters of Accounting, or similar educational background
- Certified Public Accountant required
- 3+ years combined experience with a public accounting firm and/or in a corporate accounting department
- Experience in an ERP environment required, SAP experience preferred
- Experience with FASB accounting guidance preferred
- Experience with SEC rules and regulations preferred
- Motivated individual with a positive attitude
- Strong attention to details, time management skills, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse work group in a team environment
