Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a Financial Program Coordinator to join a Non-Profit in Raleigh, NC.    This position is onsite Monday-Friday but offers flexibility and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily processing is complete and all transaction batches posted prior to and no later than required deadlines to meet all legal and program compliance and other requirements.
  • Monitor and respond to Savings Mailbox (Ask the Expert) queries and requests from Participants.
  • Contact Participants regarding incomplete or inaccurate information on forms submitted for establishment of new accounts or existing accounts.
  • Research and analyze available documentation to resolve account discrepancies listed on system generated and manual reports.
  • Assist in the detection, reporting, and mitigation of irregular activities within the Program.
  • Assist current or prospective Participants regarding questions about the Savings Program and assist Call Center staff with more difficult or involved questions.
  • Assist with Entity Scholarship Accounts and electronic files from vendors and schools.
  • Assist, or serve as back up for the Program Manager as needed, in monitoring trade and price file activities at the end of each work day and late into each evening, communicate with Savings team and Vanguard and deploy contingency measures if necessary. Monitor, research and correct other files transmitted by the Program as needed.
  • Assist with annual audit(s), communicate with auditors, monitor and meet deadlines, pull and transmit requested samples in a timely manner. Coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Assist management as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an area such as Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or other related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in related field such as banking, accounting, or customer service.
  • 2+ years working knowledge of IRS Section 529 Qualified Tuition Programs.
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment carrying out assignments to completion within time constraints, including any necessary follow-up with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and clients.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone and by email with individuals and groups.
  • MS Office skills including in-depth working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
