Accentuate Staffing is assisting a leading manufacturer in Prineville, Oregon with their search for a Cost Analyst. This role has the responsibility of ensuring established policies and procedures are being followed at the manufacturing facility for creating cost estimates and bill of materials. The cost analyst functions as a partner with the product development, operations, and sales teams in creating cost quotes for customers as well as ensuring bill of materials and routings are setup/maintained in the system.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain cost models to assist in the creation of cost quotes and bills of materials
- Create new bill of materials and routings with assistance from Operations/Product Development
- Analyze requested changes for the Bill of Materials and roll standard costs for those changes if needed
- Work with the Director of Operation Finance and Plant Controller in updating the annual standard costs of the manufacturing location by determining material costs, labor rates, and variable/fixed overhead rates
- Maintain the current cost set in the ERP system as well as simulated cost sets
- Work with product development to estimate costs for new products
- Work with Sales/Operations on providing costs for custom quotes
- Assist Plant Controller with understanding material variances monthly
- Assist Plant Controller in the yearly physical inventory counts
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-3 years’ experience in Cost Accounting
- Strong knowledge of standard costing
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook) and SharePoint
- Experience with ERP systems
