Accentuate Staffing is seeking an experienced  Collections Research & Processing Specialist for one of our clients in Raleigh, NC. The Collections Research and Processing Specialist will be responsible for researching accounts to identify missing payments and coordinate with branch operations to ensure punch list items are scheduled and followed up on.  This is a long term temporary/onsite role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sending out monthly statements to customers
  • Manage customer accounts and work closely with customers to keep within their assigned credit limits
  • Customer account research to determine outstanding issues preventing payment collection
  • Assist in day to day financial transactions such as cash receipts
  • Monitor to ensure timely client payments
  • Proactively follow-up on submitted invoices to determine payment status, through telephone or email contact and resolve billing issues
  • Track and report monthly collection activity
  • Update notes in the accounting system
  • Create and maintain various spreadsheets

Requirements:

  • Min Associates Degree or 2-5 years experience in collections including collections research preferable in a corporate setting (non call center)
  • The position requires someone who can take the initiative, is meticulous and organized and has the ability to multitask
  • Must be familiar with using multiple screens and able to learn new technology and software easily
  • Must have a string attention to detail and self motivated
  • Experience with collections in the construction industry in an office setting
  • Proficiency with Google Spreadsheets Excellent communication skills Flexibility to change
