Accentuate Staffing is assisting a well-established chemical distributor in the Durham area who is hiring for a Chemical Operator. This is a long term, contract to hire opportunity. Previous chemical experience a huge plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Candidate will mix chemicals and fill drums
- May operate a sit-down forklift to move materials
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and rail cars
- Perform various shipping and receiving duties
Requirements:
- Candidate must be comfortable working around chemicals
- Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift is a plus
- Previous shipping and receiving experience also required
- Inventory experience a plus, but not a requirement
- Must be comfortable lifting 50+ lbs continuously and working in a non-climate controlled environment
- Must have high school diploma/GED equivalent
- Will be required to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
