Accounting Manager
Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager for our well-established client located in Raleigh, NC 27601. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to manage our financial operations and lead a small team. This role will oversee accounting functions, including financial reporting, cash monitoring and month-end close. The Accounting Manager will have two direct reports and work closely with the leadership team to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage and supervise two accounting staff members, providing guidance and support.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including sales tax and financial reporting.
- Assist with maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Work with external auditors, tax preparers, and financial institutions as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification a plus, but not required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience; Supervisory experience a plus
- Experience in the HVAC, construction, or service industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
