Accentuate Staffing has an immediate opportunity for a skilled and versatile Hybrid Accountant to join a company located in Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina. The Hybrid Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, as well as handling various other operational and HR duties. This role requires proficiency in accounting processes and software, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Accounting:

  • Process weekly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
  • Generate and send invoices to clients, and process customer payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on past-due invoices to ensure timely collections.
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Handle online credit card payments and reconciliations.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Enter new products into the accounting system and maintain product records.
  • Maintain both cash and accrual books.
  • Manage accounts payable process, including staging and processing invoices.

Contracts and Membership Tracking:

  • Oversee Statement of Work (SOW) Templates for memberships and services.
  • Maintain a membership tracking system to initiate membership renewals, scorecards, and invoicing.
  • Interact with Customer Procurement Groups to ensure compliance with contracts, Master Service Agreements, and other agreements.
  • Manage insurance policies to ensure compliance with customer agreements and internal needs.

Human Resources Functions:

  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance and accounts with Aflac/Allstate.
  • Manage the 401(k) account and ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding processes and create office/building entry cards.
  • Maintain vacation spreadsheet and assist with employee engagement events organized by the Fun Committee.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and exit processes, including conducting exit interview surveys.
  • Occasionally liaise with PEO legal services to address employee-related issues and ensure compliance with state requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficient in accounting software and technology, such as QuickBooks and SLX.
  • Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • 5 years of experience is required
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of contracting and membership tracking processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR processes and employee benefits administration.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
