Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an HR Director to join a global chemical manufacturer in Durham. The HR Leader will serve as a strategic partner in fostering employee engagement, well-being, and a positive workplace culture. This role will be responsible for a broad range of human resources functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an advocate for employees, promoting engagement, well-being, and a supportive work environment.
  • Develop and coordinate employee programs, events, meetings, and conferences, including logistics, communications, and budget management.
  • Implement strategies to enhance employee morale, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
  • Oversee the new employee onboarding process, including IT setup, orientation scheduling, communications, and electronic onboarding.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and managing offer letters. Track candidate progress in HRIS and ensure timely communication with applicants.
  • Administer company benefits programs, including open enrollment, employee information updates, qualifying events, and responding to benefits-related inquiries.
  • Manage the company’s fleet of vehicles, including procurement, disposal, cost management, maintenance coordination, and compliance.
  • Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and HR programs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support special projects and events related to HR and employee engagement.
  • Provide HR consultation and guidance to employees and management across all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct objective investigations and manage employee relations matters, ensuring fair and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to enhance workplace relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Offer guidance on HR policies and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
  • Manage and oversee performance management processes, tracking progress and providing input on improvements.
  • Deliver training and development programs for supervisors and employees to enhance leadership and job performance.
  • Apply compliance knowledge to mitigate risk and protect the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Rippling HRIS is highly preferred.
  • Must have experience managing and leading a team
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
