Purchase Order Specialist
Accentuate Staffing is seeking a Purchase Order Specialist to join an equipment supplier in Chapel Hill, NC. The Purchase Order Specialist will be responsible for procuring components, managing project supplies, and overseeing other purchasing needs. This role will monitor U.S. inventory levels and coordinate replenishments as required. This is a part time temporary assignment- 30 hours a week- with potential to go permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Request and assess supplier quotes to support purchasing decisions.
- Create and manage purchase orders for both customer and internal needs.
- Oversee office supply inventory, ensuring timely replenishment.
- Follow up on supplier quotes to meet deadlines.
- Verify purchase orders align with lead times and delivery dates.
- Maintain clear communication with suppliers, sales, and logistics teams.
- Track inventory across third-party warehouses and conduct periodic counts.
- Coordinate timely customer deliveries with the logistics team.
- Monitor and document any damaged materials.
- Review customs clearance documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with customs brokers for smooth import/export processes.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience (SAP experience preferred).
- Familiarity with customs regulations and international trade compliance.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
