Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing pharmaceutical distributor in the Durham area who is hiring an Warehouse Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the receiving department. This is a direct hire opportunity working on 1st shift, 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the receiving team to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming shipments.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Coordinate with the purchasing and inventory departments to verify and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of all received goods, including quantities, descriptions, and any discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and company policies within the receiving area.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that received items are correctly labeled and stored.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues related to incoming shipments, such as damage, delays, or shortages.
- Conduct regular audits of received goods and inventory to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on receiving activities, inventory levels, and any discrepancies to management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the receiving process.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse receiving, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS), ASW, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs and operate warehouse equipment as needed.
