Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established biotech company in the Durham area recruit a Laboratory Technician to join their team. This is a 1 year contract opportunity working on 1st shift, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
- Lab Technician will set up and operate laboratory equipment
- Lab Technician will measure raw materials following batch records
- Lab Technician will also be performing tests on materials
- Lab Technician will assist with receiving shipments and logging in samples
- Lab Technician will monitor inventory levels including performing cycle counts
- Lab Technician will be responsible for preparing cleaning solutions as well as sanitizing glassware and lab equipment
Requirements:
- Candidates must have previous experience working in a laboratory setting
- Must have strong knowledge of sterile technique
- Must be detail oriented and be able to work independently
- Candidates must be able to lift at least 25 lbs and standing for entire duration of shift
- Candidates will be required to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
