Accentuate Staffing is assisting a steel manufacturer who is looking for a Metal Quality Control Technician to join their team. This is a contract to hire opportunity, working 1st shift hours.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Control Technician will inspect metal materials at initial, in process and final stages of the manufacturing process
- QC Tech will document quality activities and ensure quality compliance is followed
- QC Tech will prepare necessary quality certification documentation
- QC Tech will review quality procedures and work with Quality Assurance to implement new quality processes
- QC Tech will work with a team to resolve corrective action items and assist to identify any area of process improvement
Requirements:
- Candidates must have at least 1 year quality experience on metal materials in a manufacturing environment, 2+ years’ preferred
- Candidates must have good mathematical skills including solid understanding of fractions
- Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Candidates must have previous experience using quality testing equipment to include calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.
- Candidates must be computer savvy
- Candidates must be able to work independently and have good written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED
