Responsibilities:

• Construct detailed and accurate physical models based on design concepts, ensuring a high level of precision and craftsmanship.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials for each project, considering factors such as durability, appearance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work closely with designers, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide input on the feasibility and manufacturability of designs.
• Ensure work is done in a timely fashion, within the appropriate project timeline
• Conduct thorough quality checks on completed models to ensure they meet the company’s standards and specifications.
• Perform repairs, installation, and inspections of units at customer sites

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven experience as a model maker
• Candidates need strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Candidates must have previous experience using fabrication and assembly tools including press brake machines, shears, grinders, etc.
• Must have strong knowledge using measuring tools to include calipers, tape measures, micrometers, etc.
• Must skilled reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
• A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Model Making, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Must be able to consistently walk, stand, climb, kneel, lift, and carry 50 lbs or more on a regular basis
