Accentuate Staffing has an immediate hybrid opportunity for an Operational Staff Accountant for a client located in the Holly Springs/Apex area. This is a long-term contract position. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions for the preparation of multiple financial statements and assisting with day-to-day accounting needs to include both internal and external reporting requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Month end closing activities, journal entry preparation and input
- Bank and general ledger reconciliation activities
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly scorecards
- Assist with Audit preparation
- Assemble monthly financial package
- Help with various projects
Requirements:
- Be well-versed in MS Office applications
- Have sound leadership and communication skills
- Have thoughtful and problem-solving skills
- NetSuite experience preferred.
- General ledger, month-end account reconciliation, sales and use tax.
- Exposure to year-end audit schedule preparation is a plus.
- Candidates should have an understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
- Bachelor’s in accounting or related field required, Masters preferred
- 3-5 years related experience.
