Accentuate Staffing is assisting a client of ours in the Apex area recruit for a Procurement Supervisor to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity, working 8am-5pm, with flexibility to work remote up to 2 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the materials management process, including warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain and ensure efficient material flow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and manage procurement activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Lead a team of buyers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, with 5+ years experience.
- Must have 2 years leadership background
- Proven experience in materials management or supply chain roles.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, inventory strategies and root cause analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant tools.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- APICS CPIM and/or CSCP preferred
