Accentuate Staffing is seeking a Recruiting & Engagement Coordinator for one of our clients in Asheville, NC. This position will be responsible for coordinating the efforts to attract and assist in hiring and retaining the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline. This individual must be outgoing and will play a large role in providing a welcoming, informative, and respectful experience for employees. This is a direct hire role with a hybrid/ flexible work schedule, generous benefits packaging, and bonus eligibility. Must live in or be willing to relocate to Asheville, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Director of Human Resources to develop and maintain strategies related to recruiting
- Responsible for recruiting efforts utilizing a diverse mix of approaches to ensure high visibility with potential candidates, i.e. Indeed, LinkedIn, industry specific job boards, company website, print media, cold calls, referrals, career fairs, community network events, conferences, etc.
- Use discretion in assessing applicants’ relevant knowledge, technical skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes to assist hiring manager in selection of the best candidate for each position. Perform due diligence before, during and after interview process to include verification of employment, education, licensure, applicable background checks, drug screen and reference checks.
- Manages and maintains the Company’s applicant tracking system and assist candidates and hiring managers as needed to move through the hiring process.
- Assists in onboarding candidates.
- Pursues and leads initiatives to strengthen retention and employee engagement.
- Serves a lead role in coordinating training initiatives that enhance the skills and competencies of employees resulting in improved execution and performance throughout the organization.
- Performs other duties within the HR Department including serving as backup for general HR functions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Communications, Engineering, or related field required.
- Two years of recruiting experience utilizing multiple platforms including LinkedIn and Indeed required; recruiting experience for an Engineering firm or professional services firm preferred.
- Experience in ADP Applicant Tracking System experience strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of labor laws required.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure, demonstrate active listening and exhibit organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, telephone interview skills, relationship management skills, strong written and oral communication and networking skills required.
- Requires an individual that is customer oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Valid driver’s license required; overnight travel is required.
