Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a Consumer Packaged Good Manufacturing/Distribution Company in Durham, NC in recruiting for a Controller. This position is open due to growth. This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering a hybrid/flexible schedule and solid benefits.
The Controller will direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the processes of financial forecasting, budgeting and consolidation & reporting for the Company
- Ensures that effective internal controls are in place and ensures compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state & local regulatory laws & rules for financial & tax reporting
- Ensures that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner, accounts receivable are collected promptly and payroll is processed in a timely manner
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
- Maintain the chart of accounts
- Financial Reporting
- Provide Financial Analysis as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations
- Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit
- Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Supervision of Accounting Staff to include Payroll, AP and AR Specialists
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA Required
- 7+ years Accounting/Finance experience
- 3 years Public Accounting experience strongly desired
- Supervisory experience
- Vaccine Required
