Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Part-Time Accountant for our client in Cary, NC. This position offers a HYBRID work schedule and also includes BENEFITS.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares sales tax returns
- Assists with preparation of annual property tax filings
- Reconcile and balance the credit card accounts along with invoicing needed chargebacks
- Calculate and record monthly journal entries
- Prepare year-end work papers as requested by auditors
- Responsible for monthly report generation and accuracy
- Address customer inquiries and work closely with operations, sales and billing
- Responsible for downloading and formatting the monthly bank statement
- Builds general ledger accounts
- Prepares monthly payroll department allocations
- Adjusts standard journal entry allocations as needed
- Review daily bank statement for customer ACH payments
- Research application of daily ACH payments and provide remittance information for invoice application
- Reviews received checks and researches appropriate invoice and account application
- Processes approved expense reports in Expensify using department allocations
- Assists new users in account setup for Expensify software.
- Prepares monthly retail and dealer managed commissions
- Downloads and reviews the daily bank activity and distributes to appropriate personnel as needed
- Reviews the weekly ACH bank file as needed
- Initiates wire payments as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance preferred
- 3+ years Accounting experience
- High level of proficiency with advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required; proficient with VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables.
- Experience working with Expensify a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines, as well as prioritize workload throughout the month.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with accounting concepts, such as financial statements, journal entries, and balance sheets.
