Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Director, Accounts Receivable for our fast growing client in RTP/Durham.  This is a Direct Hire opportunity with excellent benefits and a Flexible/Hybrid work schedule.  Covid vaccine is required.

Responsibilities:

Complete ownership of managing Accounts receivables, Deductions management and GTN Accounting and preparation / closing books as per local GAAP and preparation /submitting management reports

  • Oversee the day to day operations of accounts receivables including, but not limited to, cash forecast for the wholesaler and non-wholesaler customers, monitor and ensure timely cash collection and application, credit limits / credit terms setting up,  tracking of all cash collections, approving of credit/debit memos, approving/setting/monitoring of customer credit lines, and ensuring account receivable balances are in line with our Customers.
  • Lead & coordinate month-end close activities for Accounts Receivable, sales, failure to supply, sales cut-off procedures, LC M, department’s expense estimates, and gross to net.
  • Review, approve, and record various journal entries during month-end and quarter-end closes.
  • Prepare monthly presentation deck for Accounts Receivable & gross to net
  • Assist with compiling documentation for inventory shortages for insurance claims
  • Review and approval of provision and write-offs at acceptable level. Ensuring that DSO days are in line with forecast. Progress and follow-up of customer disputed/open items to avoid aging to higher aging buckets.
  • To ensure deductions claimed are in line with agreed terms and to resolve customer disputes and open aged items on accounts to avoid write offs. Identifying better system-based approach for all type deductions (including chargeback, expiry, rebates, fts, ssa etc). Fixing gaps of wrong/erroneous claims to avoid getting claimed in future. Keeping down all unidentified deductions and disputes to have clean A/R aging
  • Review and approval of price adjustment/shelf stock adjustment credits from customers. Will validate the report price on credits to notification letters. Will validate quantities reported on-hand/order at the time of WAC change is in line with customer inventory reconciliations or sales reported. Initiating wac changes for product affecting customer to remain in debit balances.
  • Will work with the Pricing and Contracts Team to understand the customer agreements to ensure adequate accrual percentage are correct in ERP system. Will perform product level profitability analysis and work with the Sales and Project/Product Management teams to improve/correct product margins.
  • Manage GTN accruals, including chargebacks, rebates, expiry (returns) and other Accrual adjustments ensuring that these are adequately accrued. Prepare analysis of all accruals on periodic basis.
  • Tracking of Wholesaler Inventory (use of EDI 852/867 reports) to ensure alignment with chargeback submissions. Will perform reconciliation of secondary stock and will review secondary sales to review GTN rates. Will provide basic support on various product launches/buyouts.
  • Will be the Lead in the quarterly Internal Audit and yearly External Audit for the area of GTN and Accounts Receivables. Ensure accounting activities are being done as per defined policies and to maintain reporting procedures / internal controls from a control perspective. Position should identify areas of potential improvement and seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.
  • Oversee the factoring of Wholesaler invoices and all reporting requirements.
  • Escalating any IT issues and creating service ticket in HForce for resolution by respective IT support. Implementation of various modules to streamline processes to move towards automation and reduce manual processing.
  • Perform other ad hoc financial analysis and other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant / MBA + with a minimum of 7+ years of experience   / or Management accounting degree with a minimum of 10 equivalent years of experience in F&A
  • Prior experience in US generic pharma is preferable
  • Experience with SAP / equivalent ERP, Microsoft office, advance excel skills required
  • US GAAP knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to coordinate with other finance / operational groups from senior management to staff
  • Analytical / qualitative/ problem solving skills required
  • Strategic team player with high integrity and ethical standards
