Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Controller for our Dynamic and growing client in Raleigh. The Controller will be responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring timely reporting to internal management, as well as external vendors and various tax authorities. This role will also oversee payroll and light project management functions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage/oversee all aspects of accounting/finance operations including all outsourced functions
- Manage accounting and internal control systems and processes
- Work directly with President/CEO to provide analysis/data on an ad hoc basis
- Provide/maintain weekly cash flow statement
- Maintain integration with various software programs to interface/sync with QuickBooks Desktop
- Oversee/perform monthly reconciliations of all bank, credit card, and short-term liability accounts
- Manage accounts payable and ensure adherence to payment terms
- Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly per agreed upon purchase agreement terms and conditions
- Ensure all tax authority deadlines are handled on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis and payments submitted according to due dates
- Manage Payroll and work with benefits providers to keep updated information/needs for all employees across five different entities
- Collaborate with sales team to provide competitive pricing, while maintaining ideal margins, keeping in mind COGS, shipping costs, tariffs, and overhead costs
- Maintain projects using CRM software, ensuring sales projects are being reviewed on a weekly basis
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ Years with Quickbooks Desktop/Quickbooks Online
- 4+ Years of Cost Accounting and Analysis
- Experience managing relationships with outsourced Bookkeeping and CPA firms
- Excellent customer service skills as well as establishing good working relationships with vendors
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Knowledge of International Shipping
- Understanding of US Customs/duties/tariffs
- Experience with BOMs
