Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for an established manufacturing company in Goldsboro, NC that is seeking a Senior Accountant. This role will support and maintain the Sales and Gross Margin reporting, General Ledger, preparing entries, analyzing job variances, and reconciling accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly Sales and Gross Margin Analysis
- Cost Analysis and Inventory management
- Review job closures and variances in relation to COGS
- Prepare and distribute departmental expenses to appropriate management.
- Record charges received from corporate offices and confirm any intercompany balances.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and submit additional schedules as required for month or quarter-end.
- Preparation and recording of monthly journal entries for the closing process. This will include maintaining accrual schedules, prepaids, payroll entries, intercompany re-bills for services, reclasses as required and other entries as need.
- ADP Integration and payroll entries as well as Payroll Backup
Requirements:
- 4-year college degree (Finance or business degree preferred)
- 3-5 years minimum related experience
- Manufacturing / cost accounting knowledge preferred
- Experience with Oracle software or similar Software
- General Ledger and financial statement preparation experience
- Exhibits strong technical accounting knowledge
- Ability to drive results /change from current and prior positions
- Good business sense/judgment
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Extensive knowledge and experience using MS Office software including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, pivot tables, etc.
