Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Tax Accountant for our Commercial Real Estate Client in Durham. This position is an excellent opportunity to join an established company.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Partnership, S-Corporation, C-Corporation and Individual tax returns at the federal levels.
- Preparation state tax returns for all entities and individuals (primarily focused on the jurisdictions of NC, GA, FL and PA).
- Assist in the booking of transactions (acquisitions, dispositions and refinancings) for real estate property holding companies.
- Preparation of tax workpapers to support return computations and allocations.
- Analysis of partners’ capital accounts and communicating with investors on tax issues.
- Research into current and developing issues and various tax planning strategies.
- Estimated tax projections and planning for entities and individuals.
- Prepare or assist tax communications, audits and appeals etc. with taxing authorities.
- Specialized Reporting for investors and principals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Two to four years of tax accounting and real estate accounting experience
- Deadline focused with flexibility and willingness to put in additional time as necessary
- CPA or CPA Candidate preferred
- Experience with UltraTax, Fixed Assets and Yardi preferred
