Responsibilities:

• Oversees the monthly reconciliation of accounts.
• Ensures that financial reporting is done timely and accurately.
• Interacts with the trustees to ensure proper and timely investment of funds.
• Oversees transactions handled by the general ledger system and its interfaces.
• Troubleshoots and solves issues relating to the general ledger system.
• Supervises staff in preparation of monthly reconciliations and reporting, and develops staff to ensure proper cross-training.
• Identifies training opportunities for staff.
• Serves as project manager on implementations and other ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution in Accounting or Business, with a concentration in accounting
• 5 years of experience in an Accounting related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• CPA required
• Strong Knowledge of GAAP
• Familiar with Governmental accounting principles; revenue bond accounting desired
• Experience with automated accounting systems and system implementation is preferred
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
• Supervisory experience is preferred
• Demonstrated effective performance through excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving, project planning, independent decision making and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment and perform in a changing environment.
